FAQs

  • YES! In fact we encourage people that have never tried anything creative before to join, and you will get just as much out of this retreat as anyone. Anyone can be creative, it’s just a matter of finding a way to get there.

Because we will offer a mixture of guided sessions, and time to experiment and play, you will have lots of opportunity to explore - but also remember, there is no assessment or end goal in mind here! If you do create your masterpiece great, but just the challenge of trying this will be a great achievement for you.

You will also get lots of benefit from being in a group, and being able to share and get feedback (if you’d like to), as the group will be lots of different levels, we encourage exchanging ideas and skills too.

  • We will be bringing the following items for use in the workshops we arrange;

    • set of paints (mixed acrylic + poster paints)

    • set of paint brushes + palette

    • paper + card (variety of stock and colour)

    • 1 canvas per person for a special workshop

    • charcoal, pencils and chalk

If you need something particular and would like us to source it, please send us an enquiry on this and we will see what we can do.

  • If you’re an artist or creative with a particular medium or style, just check the list of materials we provide and see if we’ve got your covered. If not, you will need to bring your own materials. There are several art shops in Oslo, if you’d like to buy them when you arrive in Norway.

Aside from this, we recommend packing the following:

    • Lots of warm clothes, although it is May and we can expect milder weather, Norway climate is unpredictable, and mornings are generally still very cold.

    • For walking around the farm, its a good idea to have shows that slip on and off easily, as we ask everyone to remove their shoes when coming inside.

    • Clothing can be comfortable and relaxed throughout - wear your pyjamas all day if you like! If you do want to attend the movement sessions, some gym clothing would be preferable, and of course if you want to do any outdoor activities, come prepared!

    • A water bottle to fill up as we won’t have plastic bottles on the retreat (you can drink the tap water and it’s very good quality).

    • A journal or notebook. Some people naturally write notes, but even if you don’t, we will have some sessions that require writing, so best to be prepared.

    • Swim wear - for wild swimming, or using the sauna or hot tub

    • Some local currency (Norwegian NOK), in case you want to go for a coffee or shopping in town.

  • Location: Siaurys is located about 80 km from Vilnius and 130 km from Kaunas. You will get the detailed coordinates upon confirmation of your booking.

Access: You can hire a car and take the (approx) 1 hour drive from Vilnius airport - a beautiful drive to start your adventure. We will also be arranging a transfer from the airport at a set time on the first morning of the retreat. We will do our best to coordinate with all guests the best time depending on all flight arrival times, as we will have people arriving from all over the world.

  • Solo travellers are welcome, and we’ve also tried our best to make a solo occupancy room more affordable than charging you double.

You also have the option to book a shared room, and we imagine this will be a popular choice for most people, so you’ll right away feel a part of the group.

The dining will always be on a long table, so you’ll also never feel separate from the group - in fact this is a great environment if you’re travelling alone!

  • We are open to welcoming all types of creatives on the retreat, and there is no problem if you’d like to have your own experience. For example, if you’d like to only join for the meals and meditation, we can discuss making that work for you. We would suggest booking a call with the retreat leader Amy to discuss creating an experience that suits your needs. Book a call here.

  • We have included some reading resources on the retreat info page here, scroll right to the bottom.

The Artists Way is a great book to start exploring creative thinking, and it would be a perfect intro to getting you ready to join the retreat.

  • All the options are listed here.

  • Any and all dietary requirements are covered, we have our own chef cooking for us all week.

  • All bookings are non-refundable, and non-transferable. However, we will be happy to put your place back on sale, and if we’re able to sell it, we will pay back anything you have paid to you.

This is simply because we are pricing the retreat based on our target number of people, and any dropouts affects the price for all elements of the retreat.

We recommend that everyone booking also purchases travel insurance to cover for any unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control.

On the rare occasion we have to cancel the retreat, you will be refunded in full, but we will not be responsible for any travel you have booked. Most travel insurance would cover for an event being cancelled, and we are happy to provide written confirmation in that case that the retreat is not going ahead, to support your claim.

We completely understand that sometimes a situation arises that’s unavoidable, so if you have a special circumstance, you can arrange a call with us to talk about how we can help.

  • The maximum group size will be 20 people, and no smaller than a group of 10.

  • Yes of course that’s no problem, contact us here to discuss a package that suits your needs.
